TOMOTA – 5 YEARS OF STEADFAST GROWTH

7:31 03/10/2025

It is certain that for any technology product to succeed and be accepted by customers, it must deliver practical values and continuously improve user features. That is why, from the very beginning, Tomota has remained steadfast in the belief that the best way to build the best brand is to collect feedback, meet directly with users, and listen to their needs and expectations. During the early stages of development, Tomota’s leadership team and engineers sat down with the chief technicians of Minh Phu Loc An to discuss and carefully refine product development.

2020 – 2022: Tomota begins writing its own story

Founded and developed during the challenging years of the Covid-19 pandemic, Tomota was built by people carrying a strong aspiration: to leverage technology to support Vietnam’s shrimp industry and move towards a sustainably growing global market. With hundreds of hours of work and countless efforts, the Tomota team met and discussed with the chief technicians of Minh Phu Loc An.

This meeting achieved significant success, not only by introducing to the technicians a new wave of technology through Tomota’s automated shrimp-farming model but also by providing Tomota with highly practical and valuable feedback. These contributions enabled Tomota to upgrade and refine its products before bringing them to shrimp farmers.

Tomota hoped that once launched, these technologies would truly be useful and deliver meaningful values that directly addressed the pressing issues of the shrimp industry. By April 2022, Tomota conducted customer surveys to gather insights for further product improvements. During this stage, the determination and effort of every Tomota member were evident in their journeys to Ben Tre and Bac Lieu. These activities culminated in the Roadshow event, which served as a bridge to bring Tomota closer to shrimp farmers.

After a process of listening, improving, and developing, Tomota officially launched its products at the Soft Launching event, coinciding with the company’s 2nd anniversary. At this event, 100 Tomota S3+ units were directly handed to shrimp farmers in Ben Tre and Tra Vinh. With these first products in their hands, Tomota carried a burning spirit of determination to spread meaningful values to the shrimp industry both domestically and internationally.

2023: Beginning the journey of companionship with farmers

In 2023, Tomota became a bridge to bring its technology closer to hatcheries in Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan, engaging in conversations and sharing experiences with farms such as Tran Hau Dien, Binh Minh, Phuong Ha, Dong Thanh, Son Tra, DL Group, MPNT, and CP New. This marked a memorable and important milestone, highlighting the meaningful connection between Tomota and the domestic farming community.

Building on this success, in April 2023, Tomota participated for the first time in the VietShrimp exhibition to introduce its products and connect with shrimp farmers. Despite being Tomota’s first appearance, the event attracted large crowds eager to experience the products and join mini-games such as shrimp size guessing. Thanks to the strong impression left at this event, Tomota officially exported its first shipments to Thailand, Indonesia, India, and South Korea.

By July 2023, Tomota had the honor of co-organizing an international tour, further extending Vietnam’s technological values to the global market. At the Shrimp Summit 2023 in Jakarta, Tomota successfully signed its first partnership agreement with PT Tequisa – Indonesia. At that time, Tomota’s technological footprint had already expanded to 11 countries.

2024: Rising alongside the global shrimp industry

Driven by steadfast determination and ambitious aspirations, 2024 marked a breakthrough stage in Tomota’s journey. In May 2024, thanks to relentless effort, Tomota technology had officially reached 18 countries. By September 2024, based on real user needs and feedback, Tomota launched the new Tomota S3+, upgraded with enhanced assembly processes and advanced features such as gut-fill analysis. This new product helped Tomota get even closer to farmers both domestically and abroad.

In December 2024, Tomota collaborated with Nha Trang University and Tra Vinh University to introduce its solutions to students, aiming to spread modern technological values to younger generations and contribute to building a sustainable aquaculture industry.

2025: A remarkable breakthrough

This year, with unwavering efforts and commitment to making technology a pillar of sustainable shrimp farming, Tomota reached a significant milestone in February 2025 by signing a technology transfer agreement with Din Ky. In the same month, Tomota partnered with the Fisheries Sub-Department and Minh Phu Seafood Corporation to roll out the program “Spreading Technology to Farmers”, donating 180 units to shrimp farmers across six Mekong Delta provinces.

These achievements stand as a testament to Tomota’s dedication since its early days. Today, Tomota proudly affirms that its 100% Made-in-Vietnam technology is now present in 37 countries, supporting shrimp farmers worldwide.
